THE PROJECT

sculpture + dance dialogues = PERSPECTI<es

PERSPECTI<es is a study of architecture and public spaces based on the installation Nya Vinklar (New Angles) by artist and scenographer Jeanette Gostomski. In collaboration with choreographer Emma Ribbing

PERSPECTI<es is an exploration of the spaces in between through dance and art. In Lokstallarnas old industrial train workshop, the design languages of the two artists merges to create temporary architecture. Through movement in dialogue with the sculptures spatiality, different perspectives of public spaces will be examined:

  • What shapes our vision of the city?
  • How do public spaces influence body and mind?
  • How do we shape our relationship to a place if it is interpreted through a meeting between dance and sculpture?
  • How can the meeting between dance and sculpture be used as a tool for conversations on our surroundings?

PERSPECTI<ES invites the spectator to an exploration of temporary structures that effects our bodies and how we move. The project aim to give new perspectives on city planning through temporary art installations
